Our office enjoys providing women and their partners with the information they need to become parents. At the first prenatal visit, you will receive a “welcome bag” filled with helpful pages, pamphlets, and booklets which will enable you to make wise choices. It is easy to focus on the process of pregnancy, labor, and birth; however, we hope to direct your goals to the healthy outcome of this process as well. Your birth experience should be a wonderful time, but it is your baby’s health and your health that have lifelong consequences.

Dr. Craig has over 35 years of experience, having delivered well over 6,000 babies, to help you have a healthy baby and take good care of yourself. Dr. Craig’s nurse-midwifery background and her vast experience working with high-risk pregnancies, has helped Dr. Craig develop a unique bond and understanding with her patients. She has also delivered hundreds of healthy women with uncomplicated pregnancies who chose natural childbirth with minimal medical intervention. She also does vaginal birth after a previous cesarean section (VBAC) when appropriate and desired. She supports her patient’s choice to have an unmedicated or medicated labor. Patients may hire a doula to support them in natural labor and childbirth. Dr. Craig delivers more than 90% of her patients. Fewer than 10% of her patients are delivered by one of the obstetricians in her all-female call group.

Dr. Craig is dedicated to providing you with the highest level of obstetric care while personalizing your care to meet your and your baby’s health care meeds during your pregnancy. This includes:

• Consultation and care during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum.
• Family planning services including pre-conception care, genetic disorder counseling, and miscarriage management.
• Care for complications of pregnancy including diabetes, preterm labor, pre-eclampsia, breech presentation, and postpartum blues.
• High-risk obstetrics, including pregnancy resulting from in vitro fertilization, advanced maternal age, twins, hypertension, diabetes, and preterm labor.
