Elizabeth Sivesind
PA

Ms. Sivesind has been a Physician Assistant for Dr. Craig since March of 1993. She has worked 37 years as a PA, with 27 years experience in women’s health. She worked at Kaiser in an innovative family practice model from 1975-1976; then, in a holistic/alternative medical practice for 8 years in Marin County. Elizabeth worked as a case manager for high health risk individuals in companies such as PG & E, as well as serving as preceptor for the UCSF Nurse Practitioner/Midwifery Program. She also was the Colposcopy Instructor for the Educational Program Associates Program, training doctors as well as midlevel practitioners. Elizabeth was a major developer of the Shasta-Diablo Planned Parenthood Prenatal program, and she has lectured to health organizations about sexually transmitted infections, contraception, preconception and menopause.

Ms. Sivesind’s undergraduate degree in psychology is from the University of California, Berkeley, and her Master of Science in Health Sciences degree is from California State University, San Francisco. She graduated from the third MEDEX Physician Assistant Program (University of California, Los Angeles and University of Southern California). She spent a year traveling around the world, including 4 months in India and Nepal, studying yoga and healing. She is a member of NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants), AAPA (American Academy of Physician Assistants), and CAPA (California Academy of Physician Assistants). She is a member of Flying Samaritans, and travels to Mexico to provide medical care to farmworkers with no access to medical treatment. As of August, 2011, she volunteers in Brentwood, serving the uninsured in a John Muir Medical Center mobile unit.
